Ethiopia News 28.07.2021
Last week was the graduation ceremony and the awarding of certificates at the private preschool LemLem.
The last week of the project is coming up. We will close the daycare for 6 weeks and reopen in mid-September.
We are also in the process of registering new mothers with children. This is always a little challenging, because these decisions are real twists of fate in every family. So far we already have 2 new children with disabilities, one with autism and another with physical disabilities. Mellie is looking forward to this because....
Mellie will be employed by Begegnung Germany from August and will then officially work a few hours in the project. First a little bit with the fresh baby and then we will see how it develops. For us personally, but also for the project, this is a great gain, because she is not only legally allowed to work officially, but can also contribute a significant part to the pedagogical and inclusive work due to her training as an occupational therapist. She would like to pass on her wealth of experience from about 5 years in occupational therapy in various areas in Dresden to as many Ethiopians as possible, because this specialty does not yet exist in Ethiopia.
