10 women have started a sewing and weaving course. This course lasts 3 months and is completely financed by Begegnung. Other parents (mainly mothers and one father) can recently participate in a sponsorship program, where they get a driver's license, for example, to find a job as a bus driver. 2 others are doing a cooking course for 10 months; after that they get a certificate to work as cooks in proper restaurants. Such a cooking course costs, as an example, 250€. The sewing and weaving courses cost the equivalent of 100€.

Enat is really enjoying her new job, as is Senait. I'm really grateful for the two of them. Even though they may lack expertise here and there compared to the other applicants, I know that both of them are capable of learning new things quickly and getting help when they get stuck.

Tomorrow we have the annual financial audit. I have mixed feelings, because it is the first year that has run completely under my leadership. I hope we have done everything correctly and properly according to Ethiopian law (which changes from time to time).
